Is your artwork held back from being published or no longer visible in your Displate shop? You have the right to appeal the decision – here’s how to do it.
Every artwork you upload to your Artist profile may be subject to Displate’s moderation process. This ensures that all designs meet our print requirements, quality standards, and guidelines.
If your upload didn’t make it through or was removed from the website, you still have the option to appeal, in line with Displate’s Terms of Use, point 10.11. See the steps below to learn how.
Step 1: Describe Your Case
To properly assess your case, we need a clear explanation of why you believe your artwork should be published or stay on the website.
Be sure to include any relevant information, context, or evidence that supports your case – such as licensing rights, original sketches or files, proof of ownership, or clarification about the artwork’s content or inspiration.
Remember: the more details, the better.
Step 2: Include Account Details
In addition to your explanation, please also include:
- The email address linked to your Artist account
- A screenshot from your upload history of the artwork in question
Step 3: Send Your Appeal
Send your appeal to [email protected] and use the subject line:
Appeal – [Your Artist Username].
You should submit the appeal within no more than 6 months from the date of notification of the decision. Your appeal may be subject to checking against artificially generated communication.
Step 4: Wait For The Review
Once your appeal is submitted, our team will carefully review all the information you’ve provided. Please allow up to 7 days for the review process. Our team ensures timely, non-discriminatory, objective, and non-arbitrary action, including oversight by appropriately qualified personnel over the appeal process. All decisions in the appeal process are made without using automated means.
We’ll let you know the outcome by email as soon as your appeal has been reviewed – we will include a justification for the decision and information about alternative dispute resolution options and other available appeals.
Remember that we may choose not to respond to messages, appeals, or other artificially generated communications (particularly those generated by bots or in other automated ways, if they are not genuine), especially if this would hinder the response to genuine communication or activity.
