In 2024, Displate art didn’t just shine. It popped.
Literally! With the arrival of Textra, art on metal got closer, sharper, and bolder than ever, buzzing with 3D-printed details and selective touches of matte & gloss varnishes. Our new finish quickly became a push for the artists, too – unlocking extra depths for their creativity to explore.
And boy, did they dive all the way in.
Our Favorite Artists of the Year
From surreal 3D experiments to manga art to memes (a lot of memes), 2024 saw thousands of new original pieces dropping in the Displate catalog. Add that to some interesting fresh faces joining our marketplace, and you’ll know why picking our favorites was literally impossible this year.

Thousands of Displate collectors can jump into outer space anytime they want thanks to Tobias Roetsch’s jaw-dropping cosmic art. This year, however, he stayed on the ground, exploring majestic fantasy landscapes instead – and planting one dazzling Holy Tree on some lucky walls.
Dominik Mayer’s pieces capture the spirit of traditional paintings, now elevated by a textured finish. This year, he amazed us with some truly captivating work – culminating in Incendium, a flaming hot Limited Edition featuring the cover art from his latest book.
The deliciously monstrous art by the team at Ilustrata was roaring even before Textra. But now that these yummy kaiju come alive with popping 3D-printed details… NOW they’re cooking. You love those creative beasts, and we do too!
And 2024’s Top Displate Artist Is…
This dark fantasy art maestro, gothic visionary, and powerhouse illustrator fed all our twisted fantasies throughout 2024. Not only did he expand his impressive Displate catalog with breathtaking new pieces – he also treated us to not just one, not just two, but three stunningly poetic Limited Edition artworks!
Congratulations on an amazing year, Anato. And please, never brighten up. Not even a little.
Fastest-Selling Original Releases
2024 was defined by a spectacular range of Limited and Ultra Limited collaborations. And once again, the community of collectors behind our limited series showcased its wonderfully eclectic taste.
This year’s fastest-selling Limited originals say it all: from Shidzaku’s glimmering, double-sided Twin Worlds to Icosphere’s serene Radiant Temple and Luphalia’s aptly named Wicked Carvings – the hottest original titles of 2024 couldn’t be more distinct.
Special Mention: A Myth-Worthy Triptych
The threads of destiny have spoken: this mini-series by Anna Podedworna is so legendary, it demands a spotlight.
The Polish illustrator has woven together myth and artistry to bring the sisters of Fate to our Ultra Limited Series in this mesmerizing and deeply atmospheric set. Have any of you lucky Displate collectors managed to catch all three?
